ahha Tulsa

Located at the heart of the Arts District, ahha Tulsa was an arts centric non-profit that provided galleries, installation spaces, and creative studios – all within their public Hardesty Center building, which opened in 2012.

Initially founded as the “Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa” in 1961, ahha was dedicated to bringing the arts to the community through innovative programming and facilitate collaboration amongst various art organizations throughout Tulsa, Oklahoma. The organization also offered flagship outreach programs including Artist in The Schools, Community Arts Partnerships, and Any Given Child-Tulsa. ahha’s mission was simple: Keep Tulsa Creative.

As the Marketing & Communications Manager, I developed integrated marketing campaigns and developed story driven editorial content to be distributed across our platforms – including social media, our website, and email – supporting marketing, advertising, and all promotional activities upholding our brand and image.

Along with being a fully fledged organization all of its own, ahha was also responsible for hosting Mayfest, an international arts festival and a staple of the Tulsa arts scene since 1973. I had the privilege of designing the branding for the 2022 Mayfest event as featured on social media, program maps, stage banners, and similar printed materials.

In addition, I made a proof-of-concept branding reel for Mayfest’s half-centennial (before ahha’s dissolvement):
